Kebele - Ethiopian Yirgacheffe
The Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia is celebrated worldwide for producing some of the highest quality coffees, renowned for their stunning and complex flavors. Kebele—a word meaning “neighborhood” in Oromo—represents a select crop sourced from smallholder farms throughout this esteemed region.
This coffee is roasted lightly to showcase its delicate character. Expect a cup brimming with flavors of honey, baked sugar, and candy, while a subtle floral note lingers, depending on your brewing method. I find Kebele bright and lively, yet never sharp or edgy—always smooth and inviting.
My preferred way to enjoy Kebele is as a pour-over or in a Chemex, but it also makes a wonderfully flavorful drip coffee.
